KS1 bundle of 5 Halloween lessons/resources.
1. KS1 Powerpoint lesson. How to write a party invitation with a Halloween focus. A KS1 power-point of 14 slides which can be used as one lesson or extended over a longer period. There is a warm up, two activities and a final writing task. Included are examples of 2 invitations (birthday and Halloween party) for pupils to use in the lesson to spot the key features and help Lei correct his invitation (because no one has replied!). There are key questions to promote discussion and paired work. Also included is a simple invitation template for pupil use. Pupils can also use the important information/checklist to give paired feedback after writing their own invitation.
2. Halloween history and customs lesson of 34 slides. Includes activities and how to write a spell.
3. KS1 Set of 5 fun Halloween counting worksheets. Two worksheets x counting Halloween objects to 10, 1 worksheet each x counting to 15, 20 and 25.
Each worksheet has a set of boxes at the bottom for pupils to write in their answers.
4. Set of 2 graded Halloween worksheets. Worksheet 1 - simple forward layout for hidden words. Worksheet 2 mix of up, down, f/w, b/w, diagonal layout.
5. Fun Halloween themed cut and stick make a monster activity. Template and sets of creepy features included.

Powerpoint Poem about the colour BLACK. EYFS/KS1. Simple two word line poem with repetition of the word ‘black’ which I wrote myself to introduce a topic on colour recognition, help pupils learn the colour black and identify black objects around them. Lots of ‘black’ photos and an ending which young children can relate to.

Powerpoint Poem about the colour PINK. EYFS/KS1. Simple rhyming poem which I wrote myself to introduce a topic on colour recognition, help pupils learn the colour pink and identify pink objects around them. The poem focuses on ‘I wish the world was pink……’ with pink enhanced images of everyday objects.

Non- negotiable spoken vocabulary assessment record grid for EYFS practitioners. There are vocabulary lists for 14 key topic areas eg colours, body parts, family, verbs, comparisons etc. organised into age expected bands. Colour coded assessment for use in under3 setting, YN or 3 year old setting and YR and equivalent setting. A useful tool to monitor record individual speaking and listening progress.
Weekly planning unit for EYFS. Learning activities and theme based upon the rhyme/song 'There was a Princess long ago'. Activities cover areas of learning with emphasis on speaking and listening and vocabulary development through role play and fun outdoor learning. Non negotiable vocabulary is identified for Literacy and Numeracy teaching. Planning includes differentiated Literacy and Numeracy for LA,MA and HA groups.
